Another masterpiece from Godrej: I bought this product recently and got it installed at my home. This specific model stands as a best among the safety locker variants tagged closer to this price range (9 KINR to 10 KINR) and as well this model has some significance towards an imperative aspect for security solutions at home.
Generically "front door" type safe vaults are predominantly available in markets which would be installed commonly in wardrobes which may not be a "out of sight" place for those who seek a security solution. Also "front door" type safe vaults have a lesser chance of installing it in home at concealed locations within the walls as the wall should be thick enough to hold the locker to conceal it.
Though this model is "top open" type safe vault, it is ideal for hiding it within the flooring (eg. at bottom locations of fixed type cupboards/beneath bed space).
Some might install the "front door" vaults in the bed type manner which isn't a better approach since the "front door" vaults won't have hydraulic shafts to hold the door at place while accessing your valuables. However this "Privy" model has double hydraulic shafts for this purpose.
All the other features provided with this product are same as that of the regular models. I'm glad :) that Godrej-Privy has helped me out by adding up a solution to my home security.
Access Average Rating:
So, I have no idea why I bought this; mostly on whim and the price on lightning deal was sort of irresistible. But having bought it, I must say it's a fine electronic safe. Hopefully, I can give you a different perspective on it.
First, the "access" range is a fairly new range from Godrej and the design is nothing short of awesome. The buttons are easy to push and colour scheme is good (I know what you must be thinking, it's safe supposed to be hidden), the LED is red in colour and very large if you want your parents to use it. In either case, it feels good; that's the idea.
The safe can be fixed to wall, the floor or you can keep it in separate shelf like I have done; all the accessories for mounting are included but you will need a drilling machine to make the holes.
The safe comes in hotel mode, which means you enter a password everytime you lock and unlock. I suggest you to read the manual and change it to home mode. So, once you set a password, you enter the password to unlock and to lock just close the shutter and press 'Lock' and it locks (some of the reviewers have their safe still in hotel mode, that's why they are having problems). And another thing, there is a master password, which you can use in case you forget the password, which I suggest you change as well. And if that isn't enough there are over-ride manual keys, which you can store in another safe place in case you forget all the passwords.
At the end of the day, a safe is about security. And this safe is right on the dot for that in my opinion. It's quite heavy (about 5kgs+), once mounted I doubt it will easy to remove. The safe doesn't unlock either with regular tricks. But, you need to remember two things - one change master password, two keeps the keys in a safe location.
So, in short the safe has all the right options for you. I have used it extensively over the time I have bought it and it locks/unlocks with out any problems. Because it's not a very large safe it can be tucked away neatly anywhere.
I would highly recommend this safe for it's ease of operation and all the fail-safes. There are plenty of chinese knock-offs online but If you want a safe and this is on deal, get this one.
